I am a sociologist at Cornell University, spending most of my time on research. I teach courses on sociology and advise graduate students on their dissertation theses. I believe in open science and open careers and provide the code and links to data, human-subjects protocols for all my papers. I also share all my career materials.

Three Book Awards
My book, On the Move: Changing Mechanisms of Mexico-U.S. Migration, has received three awards: the Otis Dudley Duncan Award of ASA’s Population Section, the best book award of APSA’s Migration and Citizenship Section (8/17) and the Mirra Komarovsky award from the Eastern Sociological Society.
